The Release of the Retro-Futuristic Platformer “Replaced” Delayed to 2025

Sad Cat Studios has announced a delay for its highly anticipated cyberpunk action game Replaced, now set to release next year.

The studio revealed in an online statement that expectations for the Xbox and PC exclusive have been high since

its announcement at E3 in 2021. They are committed to meeting these expectations and prefer not to rush the production process.

“Our initial release was optimistic, and we apologize for that,” the statement reads. “Developing Replaced is quite a unique challenge, and we’re proud to be creating something that special. We need more time to ensure we meet the high standards we’ve set for ourselves and to meet the expectations of our fans.”

If there are no further delays and Sad Cat Studios feels the game meets its expectations, Replaced is now scheduled for release in 2025.

This marks the third postponement of Replaced’s release date by Sad Cat Studios. The first delay moved the game from 2022 to 2023 due to the forced relocation of developers following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, as reported by
.

Last year, Sad Cat Studios announced on X

another shift to this year. The statement reiterated similar concerns about ensuring a high-quality release rather than a “sub-par game.”
