Amazon Prime Gaming’s October Giveaways Feature Doom Eternal, BioShock Remastered, and A Plague Tale: Innocence

Something to look forward to: Amazon Prime subscribers who enjoy complimentary game offers have a substantial selection this month. Given that it’s October, Prime Gaming is featuring several horror-themed titles, including Doom Eternal, BioShock Remastered, Scorn, and A Plague Tale: Innocence.

An Amazon Prime subscription offers a range of free games through Prime Gaming, which can be redeemed with codes on major online game stores like Epic and GOG (unfortunately, not on Steam).

This Halloween month presents several recent free games with a horror (or somewhat horror) theme. The most enticing option currently available is Doom Eternal. Even though it’s over four years old, the FPS is still a must-play for those who haven’t experienced it yet.

BioShock Remastered is also available now. The revamped 2016 version of the classic 2007 game features high-resolution textures and models along with 4K support and other enhancements. If you haven’t revisited this incredible immersive sim since its debut, now is a great time to do so.

In addition to these, several other spooky titles are arriving on Prime Gaming this month, including The Killing Floor 2 starting on October 17. With The Killing Floor 3 still “coming soon,” it’s a good opportunity to familiarize yourself with the predecessor before diving into the new game.

On October 31, Prime Gaming will be adding A Plague Tale: Innocence to its list of giveaways. This writer fondly remembers enjoying the rat-filled adventure when it was released in 2019, although its sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem, is considered superior.

Also arriving on Halloween is Scorn. It’s among the more recent games to be featured on Prime Gaming, having been released in 2022. The visually striking, Giger-inspired fleshy horror mainly involves puzzle elements. Opinions are divided on this one – I’m not a fan myself. Nevertheless, it’s worth checking out since it’s free.

Some previously added titles that remain available on Prime Gaming include Borderlands 2, Kerbal Space Program, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, LEGO The Hobbit, and Greedfall Gold Edition.
