The PlayStation Network is currently facing issues. Its network status page received an update at 7 PM Eastern time, indicating that users may experience difficulties logging in, accessing, and editing accounts, regardless of the console being used. We are also encountering problems logging into the network via computer and phone. The notice states, “We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.” At this moment, account creation is not feasible. Additionally, the service has cautioned that there might be challenges in starting up games and apps on your consoles and the web, potentially hindering access to certain titles and features requiring an internet connection.
The network outage is also impacting the PlayStation Store. Shopping will have to be postponed — purchasing and redeeming vouchers are unavailable, alongside browsing and searching for specific titles. Starting new downloads for games and updates is not possible either, and any ongoing downloads may not display progress until the issue is resolved.
