Oh hey there, fellow Mario aficionados and deal hunters! 🍄✨ Mario Day, also known as MAR10 Day (pretty clever, right?) is right around the corner on March 10. Not technically our favorite plumber’s birthday, but a day that looks a lot like his name if you squint a little. It’s kinda like how Star Wars fans geek out on May the 4th, except this one’s all about celebrating Nintendo’s iconic plumber.
So, since 2015, Nintendo’s been going all out, painting the town red (and blue) with Mario-themed shindigs at their official stores, slashing prices on games, and rolling out contests that’ll have you saying, “It’s-a me, Mario!” faster than you can hit a question block. And guess what? Retailers are jumping on the bandwagon, offering sweet deals on Nintendo goodies around March 10. Get ready to let out a “wahoo” or maybe even two!
Eyeing a new Switch? Here’s a nifty deal – it’s not exactly a price cut, but snagging a $25 gift card with your purchase is pretty sweet. You can grab this offer from big names like Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target from March 10 through March 16. Whether it’s the snazzy OLED model, the classic Switch, or the compact Switch Lite, it’s the perfect excuse to dive into games like *Metroid Dread*, *Super Mario Wonder*, and, of course, *The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom*.
But, here comes the koopa shell in our path – the Switch might be gearing up to pass the torch to a new console rumored to be coming early next year. How long will Nintendo keep supporting the current Switch? It’s a mystery. Still, its vast library of games says, “the adventure isn’t over yet!”
On the prowl for game deals? Retailers are shaving $20 off some of Nintendo’s top titles, dropping them to a cool $40 each. We’re talking *Mario Kart 8 Deluxe*, *Mario Party Superstars*, *Luigi’s Mansion 3*, and more. Plus, there’s this tropical-themed Switch Lite bundle complete with *Animal Crossing: New Horizons* for $200 at Target and Walmart. Not technically part of the MAR10 festivities, but hey, who’s keeping track when deals are this good?
Nintendo’s also doubling down with a 14-day free trial for Nintendo Switch Online, letting you duke it out online and get nostalgic with NES and SNES classics. The catch? You’ve got until March 17 to join the party, and yep, previous trial players are welcome!
Craving some real-life Mario magic? The Nintendo Store in NYC is hosting a meet-and-greet with Mario and Luigi, complete with giveaways and a screening of *The Super Mario Bros. Movie*. GameStop’s in on the fun too, with in-person giveaways on March 16.
