Microsoft has announced that it is providing some features of its Copilot AI assistant for free. Users now have unlimited access to Voice and Think Deeper, both of which are powered by OpenAI’s o1 model.
Copilot introduced the Voice feature, enabling users to engage in conversations with the AI assistant, as reported in . The Think Deeper feature is designed to handle complex queries, such as evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of significant home purchases, factoring in both cost and long-term value.
According to the blog post, “We are working hard to scale unlimited access to advanced features to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.” Microsoft also mentioned that users might experience delays or interruptions during high usage periods for these newly free Copilot applications. However, members of the Copilot Pro subscription will continue to have preferred access to the company’s latest AI models during these peak usage times, in addition to gaining access to new features that are still in the experimental phase.
