Tesla is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles due to an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system.

Once again, there is a Tesla recall to address. This time, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has informed the owners of almost 700,000 Tesla vehicles about a concern regarding the warning light for the tire pressure monitoring system, as reported by the Associated Press.

This recall involves the 2024 Cybertruck, along with 2017-2025 Model 3 and 2020-2025 Model Y vehicles. The NHTSA states that the tire pressure monitoring system’s warning light may fail to remain illuminated between drives.

Tesla has announced that it will roll out an over-the-road (OTR) update for the vehicles affected by this warning light issue. Owners will receive notification letters, which are anticipated to be mailed on February 15, 2025.

In the past year, there have been numerous Tesla recalls and OTR updates. The NHTSA has recorded seven recalls for the Cybertruck over the past year to resolve issues related to the rear-view camera, faulty windshield wipers, and loose trunk beds. In June, Tesla provided an over-the-air update for 1.8 million vehicles, including select 2021-2024 Model 3, S, and X vehicles, as well as 2020-2024 Model Y vehicles, to address issues with hoods that might detach during drives if not securely closed.
