Ubisoft Reports Assassin’s Creed Shadows Surpasses 2 Million Players

Assassin’s Creed Shadows seems poised to become the successful title Ubisoft has been looking for. On , the Assassin’s Creed team revealed that since its launch on Thursday, the game has attracted two million players. Originally scheduled to debut last fall, Assassin’s Creed Shadows experienced two delays while developers worked to ensure a smooth experience on day one. 

So far, things are reportedly going well. Engadget’s  indicated this week that the game is functioning adequately on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Ubisoft has stated that the launch of Shadows “has now surpassed the launches of AC Origins and Odyssey.” In their tweet, they expressed gratitude for players joining the journey in Feudal Japan! Assassin’s Creed Shadows is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Ubisoft+, Amazon Luna, Mac, and PC, with an iPad version expected to follow later. Holt’s review mentions that there is something appealing for both long-time fans and newcomers to the franchise.
