Xbox Cloud Gaming Might Soon Allow Streaming of Your Purchased Games Outside Game Pass

Microsoft is enhancing Xbox Cloud Gaming’s streaming capabilities to include support for games that aren’t part of the Xbox Game Pass, as reported by The Verge. The company has repeatedly mentioned its intention to allow users to stream games from their personal libraries over the past few years, starting with the announcement of Project xCloud, but the feature hasn’t been introduced until now. Microsoft is now ready to begin testing this feature with Xbox Insiders in November, aiming to eventually support thousands of games, according to The Verge, which references sources “familiar with Microsoft’s plans.”

Xbox players have been requesting the option to stream games they’ve purchased instead of only those accessible on Xbox Game Pass. If the testing phase proceeds smoothly, more players may soon have this capability. The report follows an announcement by Xbox president Sarah Bond on Friday, stating that Android users will soon be able to buy and play games on the Xbox app starting next month.
